Brethren households with news of a ministry opportunity, service or job
opening? Consider advertising in the Christian Leader. Ads are not
posted online.

Display advertising rates are available for

* Mennonite Brethren congregations and ministries

* inter-Mennonite and non-profit agencies

* for-profit organizations

Color display ads are available on the inside front and back covers and
the back cover. For a ½ page to a full-page color ad, add an additional
$300 to the cost. For color ads of less than ½ page, add an additional
$150 to the cost.

By virtue of our postal classification, the CL carries limited
advertising. Ad space for most issues is often sold-out several months
prior to publication. You are encouraged to reserve space with the
editor as early as possible.

The CL also offers classified ads in Clearinghouse. Mennonite Brethren
and inter-Mennonite agencies have the opportunity to provide an insert
for the CL.

Advertising policies

Advertisers or the advertisers’ agencies assume full
    responsibility for all advertising content, including text,
    representation and illustrations. This liability includes any claim
    made against the publication because of the advertising content.

    The word “advertisement” may be placed above copy that, in the opinion of the editor, resembles editorial material.

    The CL reserves the right to reject any advertising it considers to conflict with the goals of the magazine.

    Ads should be submitted electronically, preferably in PDF format. Ad deadlines for 2009 are as follows: Aug/Sept issue -- June 29; Oct/Nov issue -- Aug. 24; Dec/Jan issue -- Oct. 26; Feb/March 2010 -- Dec. 21.

    Missing the ad deadline may result in a 25% late fee or the ad space may be forfeited and offered to another advertiser.

    Advertising orders cannot be canceled after the due date.

    Invoices and tear ad sheets will be sent after publication.

    Payment is due promptly within 30 days of the invoice date.

Agencies that provide an insert to the CL should cancel their insert more than 30 days before the month in which the insert is reserved. Failure to give 30 days notice may result in a cancellation fee.

Advertisers should contact the editor to reserve ad space.
