FACULTY
: Faculty position opening soon in the Marriage, Family & Child Counseling department at MB Biblical Seminary. Join the team at MB Biblical Seminary’s campus in Fresno, Calif., a community rooted in the Anabaptist and evangelical traditions. This position will be at the assistant or associate professor level. In addition to a strong emphasis on the integration of counseling and the Christian faith, the seminary’s MFCC program includes a priority of helping students grow in a wide range of areas not limited to academic achievement and counseling skills. Teaching and mentoring are prioritized but research is encouraged. MFCC faculty functions as part of an interdisciplinary team with Bible, Theology and Missions faculty. CHURCH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION: Rosedale Bible Church (formerly Rosedale MB Church) will celebrate its 100th Anniversary Nov. 13-15, 2009. The celebration will include a steak dinner Friday evening, Nov. 13, at the church and two special services on Sunday morning, Nov. 15. All surviving former pastors and youth pastors will be on hand to share special memories. Our featured speaker for all services will be Dr. Haddon W. Robinson, professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, former president of Denver Seminary and an expert on biblical communication. Additionally, many photo and memorabilia displays will be featured throughout the church to commemorate this very special occasion. A new booklet detailing the 100 year history of the church will be available.

BENEFIT QUILT AUCTION: A quilt auction to benefit the Tabor College Carson Center will be held Saturday, Oct. 10 at 9:45 am as part of Homecoming events. The auction will take place in the Historic Church on D Street in Hillsboro, Kan. Quilts will be on display at area business the week of the auction and then available for preview Friday before the auction.

RESEARCHER SEEKS PUBLIC INPUT: I am a researcher from the University of Winnipeg, collecting stories about Mennonite Brethren in and around Bluffton, Ohio; Goshen Ind.; and Reedley Calif.; and their involvement in and attitudes toward work and religion. Specifically, I am interested in the actions and beliefs of the Christian in the workplace: duties, responsibilities and opportunities.
