A Simple Fact:

David Olson writes in his book The American Church in Crisis, "Evangelical groups that start few new churches and have an underdeveloped church planting system will continue to decline.  Many established evangelical churches have already begun to show signs of decline.  From 2005-2006, attendance at evangelical churches (across America) over 40 years old declined by 1.3% - a loss of more than 240,000 worshippers in just one year.  (This trend continues). .. One consequence of the lack of church planting is that...denominations lack the innovation and energy that new churches inject into an organization."
